Kid Friendly Dog Breeds

Which breeds of dog are the most kid friendly? If you plan to go dog hunting for your family one important thing you have to remember is if you have kids make sure the breed or dog itself is child friendly if there are little ones running around the home. You may find that a puppy that is adorable and bring him home, but the next thing you know it is trying to bite at the little ones. Some dogs are just not the type for kids. Some breeds of dog do not like the hyperness and being climbed all over that children do. Before just picking out any dog for your child do some research on the breed that you want. Or ask the pet shop if they are going to be good around your child. I will post up a list of dogs that are great with kids and will not harm them.

Best Breed Of Dog For Kids

• Huskies They have such a great temperament around people. My parents when i was a kid had a lot of huskeys and they never would hurt a fly. Even at the times where us kids would lay on them, they never took food from us, didn't tear the house apart and have a pleasant attitude.
• Bull Dogs They have a calm and friendly attitude. But they are not he most energetic dogs at all.
• Beagles This breed was originally for hunting.They do not attack any other dogs, rather they want to be friends. They do tend to howl loudly but you can train the not to. The bull dog loves to play a lot.
• The bull terror These dogs are a companion dog, they are also a very strong dog , so if the child beats on them(and of course should not They will not hurt this cute doggy
• Bearded Collie They are energetic and like to play. This breed of dog needs a family that can keep op with the attention, but do need to be brushed and cleaned frequently.
• Bernese Mountain Dog These dogs are a very loyal breed. Their attitudes are great with kids and they like to be very close to people. This dog also likes to lay on feet or even under legs when your are seated. But the only thing is with this breed they tend to act like puppy till at least 2 years of age.
• Bichon Frise These breeds are very playful, but love to be around others. A great thing is these dogs are perfect for your child if they have allergies they are hypoallergenic. They do need a good brushing daily and grooming.
• Bloodhound They love to be loved hugged kissed, petted and shown that they are cared for. The thing with this bred they can get to be big dogs and noisy with their howling.
• Boston Terrier They are the type of dog that like to make people happy and like to be played with. But with these dogs the can not take it if it is to hot or to cold, because of the short nose area.
• Boxer This breed has a great deal of energy, so if your child does to you can take the both of them outside and let them run each other out of energy.

My Opinion on What Type Of Dog Is Best For Children

Now this is my own personal opinion and any dog can be a good dog to have around kids if they have been raised around them properly. For instance I am so sick of people saying Pit bulls are aggressive dogs and pit bulls this and Pitt bulls that, oh my, GET OVER IT! It is not the breed it is the name that others give for those poor creatures they didn't ask to be trained to fight and be mean, it was the nasty owners out there who do that to them by feeding the raw, bloody meats and gunpowder. How cruel does that sound to you. I have 4 children and so does my sister and my mother has 2 Pitt bull dogs they are the greatest and most friendly dogs you ever want to meet, and those kids jump all over them.

The kids range from 3 years old to 17. The younger ones are a little rougher with the dogs at times and all the dogs do is get up and move away. They can even stick their hands in the dogs food bowl while the dog is eating and they just look at them. I do not like when the kids do that because it is rude to interrupt a meal but when they do the dogs do not care. But as I said if you have kids that have been around a certain dog all of their life then any dog can be a great dog for a kid it is how you as their owner train them and show them the ways of child interaction
