How To Choose A Preschool

This is one of the most exciting times of you and your child's life and in the same note one of the scariest. Did you ever think that this day would actually come for them? Now the question is how to choose a preschool that is right for your child. You will want to start checking this out at least a year before they start. There may be a waiting list, not enough room for more kids, not the right one you were looking for. Questions you should ask are, is there enough teachers to help the children? Is the preschool facility clean and tidy? Do the kids already going there seem to be happy? These are just some of the things you will want to ask yourself and the principal when you choose a preschool.

How do I choose the perfect preschool for my child?

Your baby is no longer a baby anymore they are becoming more mature and starting preschool, but want one that will suit them best. You will want to see all aspects before you go. Maybe your child has a learning disability. Do you want to put them in a school with regular students and have them feel bad because they are not comprehending things the way others are? Or is your child just real shy and not very social. The biggest question is does this school have all the proper things and people in it that will further educate my child. The first thing you want to do is make a list of schools that are located near you and visit them. See what each one has to offer and how they run their schooling system.

You are really the only one that knows what your child is like and what you expect from a school. After you have visited each school then you will want to sit down and weigh out all the pros and cons of each. Then you can see which one you think best suits your child's personality. You do not want to go and send your child to a school that has so many kids you do not know what to do with if they are real shy and timid, yet you also do not want them to never get the chance to open up to others either.

Does this school have a safety route out if there is an emergency? does this school have transportation if you can not get them to and from? Is the preschool clean? These are all other things you do want to look at then you can make your choice as to what school to place the child in.

will my child like going to preschool?

You will only know if they like the school or school in general if you bring them with you when you go school hunting and let them look with you. If you bring them and see that they do not like it then you know that this is not going to be a good school for them to attend. If you take them to everyone and still see that they do not like it then you have to leave this choice up to you and your spouse. The child may act like that with ever school you take them to because they just may not want to go at all. Taking them with you also helps them open up to others while looking around. They also get to see what goes on before they are sent off. If they see that other kids will be there and playing, having a good time and laughing this may make them interested in it.

What about home schooling my child

Home schooling I personally do not think this is a good idea, especially for children this young in age. They are not old enough to determine weather they want to do this or not. If you home school your children they will never get the chance to open up to other kids and may stay shy for a very long time. They do not get to play with other, plus children not only learn from the teachers but by other kids their age, so you will be taking away a great learning experience for them.
