Different Toys For Autistic Children. If you have a child with Autism you may find it difficult to find just the right toys for them to play with or things to keep their interest. You have to remember a child that suffers from autism do notb play quite the same as children their age without Autism. A toy may say for ages 1 to 5 and your child is 7, do not go by that for this case, unless of course there is a choking hazard in the toy. List Of Toys For Children With Autism

  1. Watch the child's playing pattern and see what things they like at the time and what they do not like. Take all the things that they do not play with away for now. If they are just playing with a piece to a toy this may help you with seeing what textures, colors and movements they like.
  2. Watch the way they act and behave. If they are flailing their hands around give them something that makes noise, but watch how they react to it first.
  3. Check over the child's plan to see at exactly what skills they need to work on and get toys that stimulate these issues.
  4. Go out and look for toys that are specially made for autistic children. They are made to help them in different areas of development.
  5. Toys that will get their senses going are great too because a child with autism has difficulties in sensory. Things like books with things you can touch and feel, toys that play music and light up and board books that they can not tear up.
