We all know even if we have never been there that Disney world can be a very expensive place to go. Between rides, games, food, trinkets, and many other different things they have going on that they nickle and dime you for. Eating On A Budget At Disney World

• Instead of eating breakfast in Disney you can go to a local bakery and have a muffin, bagel, croissant or some other baked goods. A locally owned place will be slightly cheaper than eating in the park.
• If it at all possible try to bring some foods with you from home.Even if it is just a bottle of water. A water bottle in the park will be almost triple the price of a convenience store.
• If the hotel you are staying at provide complimentary meals I would suggest you take advantage of them.
• Try having lunch instead of dinner. If you and your family do want to go out and have a meal the lunch menus are normally cheaper then dinner is. A small burger of hot dog should be enough to keep you full for the afternoon and be less expensive than a full meal.
• If you and the family do want to go out to enjoy a meal try to find buffets that are reasonably priced. Some buffets even let children of a certain age eat for free. That and order water as a drink it is free.
• Split a meal. Look at the menu and order something that has enough for two people and split it with the other one. You could also stick with some appetizers. Order a few different appetizers and share them. If you do plan to share make sure the restaurant does not have a plate sharing cost. This is when they charge you to split a meal. It is usually around $5.
• Try to avoid going out to eat if it is a holiday when going to Disney world. They tend to jack up the prices on EVERYTHING!
• Normally you can not bring in outside food to the park, but if you can find a way to do so this will save a load of cash for you. Not that I am suggesting you break any rules.
• When going out to eat if you are not a very big eater you can order off of the kids menu. Believe it or not some of the kids dishes are big. Again make sure they are not charging extra for an adult who chooses off the child's menu.
• If you can leave the park and go to a place around the area to eat. They will definitely be a great deal cheaper then in the park.
• If you do not want to leave Disney World to eat they often have meal deals. This is where you buy a meal pass for a certain amount of money generally about $10 depending on the day and time of year. This allows you to get three small meals and drinks. It is considerable cheaper than buying each meal separately throughout the day.

Why Do They Charge So Much For Food And Drinks In Disney World

As any theme park or fun place you want to go they want to make money. They do not care what the customers think about it either. They figure if the customer wants it that bad they will pay the price. The bad thing is that people actually do pay $5 for a bottle of water. I think that is highway robbery. I would rather go to a rest room or water fountain and fill a bottle I already had with water from that.

Even worse is that a lot of the foods that they sell are not handmade. It came out of a box you would get from a grocery store frozen. I am not saying all places do that but most of them do. You are basically paying for half of that box of frozen pizza just for one slice but again we do pay for it. Especially when you have children with you that want to eat and of course when they see these concession stands they want whatever is in them.
