This is because studies were done and the results show that a vegetarian has a resting metabolic rate that is 11% higher then a person that is not a vegetarian. A person that has a higher RMR will burn fat and calories faster. If you resting metabolic rate is lower you then have a higher chance of becoming overweight and have more serious health issues from the weight gain, such as diabetes, heart problems or even a stroke may occur. So it is said if you throw outall your meat intake and go with fruit and vegetables you will have a longer and stronger life to live!

They say this happens because fruits and vegetables have natural estrogen's in them and when menopause happens to us we tend to loose a good deal of this important hormone.
Did you know that if you eat fruits and veggies you will be a great deal healthier because they have a high content of vitamin C and beta-carotene, these two vitamins help with your immune system. Vegetarians have proven that they have a much stronger immune system then of someone that eats meats regularly. The fact is that the white blood cells are twice as useful against the cells from a tumor.
Here is one last thing for you to think about. Do you like to have cash in your pocket? I know I do a good deal. Then become a vegetarian and you will save a bundle of money on buying all those expensive meats and buy some vegetable and fruit seeds and plant your own. Fresh fruit and vegetables are so much tastier then those that were bought from a store. But if you can not that is okay. You can still save money when you buy fruit and vegetables rather than buying different meats.
