When is the Best Time for Planting a Garden? This question is a hard one to answer. There are different times for planting different things. The biggest thing you want to do when you are planting is to always check your soils temperature before you plant anything in it. Each fruit, vegetable and flower has a different temperature they need to grow properly. You will have to check on the back of the packet or on the plants pot or tray to see what time of year is best to plant your garden
Plants and other garden life have to have the perfect dirt temperature to live in as well. There really is no best or worst time of year to plant your garden as I said it just depends on what you want to plant and the right temperature of the soil for the garden of your choice!

So the best we can tell you is what kinds of flowers and herbs to plant per season, rather than tell you when is the best time to do your gardening. If you have a particular flower or herb you would like to plant you should research when it should be done, but if you would rather just start a garden, then look by the season. Here are some suggestions to get you started if you go that route
Flowers to Plant in your Garden per Season
Winter: Vinca Vines, Tulips, Daffodils, Common Snow Drops, Checkered Lilies, and Pansies are known to fare relatively well in winter.
Spring: Petunias, Marigolds, and Zinnias to name a few
Summer: Perennials like the Purple Cone Flower, Daylily and Black-Eyed Susan
Fall: Tulips and Daffodils are also known to do well in the fall.
