When you are going to make a garden you will want to pick out just the right edging for it so you have the best looking garden around. Some of these different edgings can be a little expensive, but I am sure you can find them at just the right store or store hop to find the best deals. Most edgings you can do all by yourself should you choose. Garden edgings are not as high off the ground as a garden fence would be. This is just to separate garden from grass, stones or concrete. I will post up a few different edgings you can go with for your garden to make it really stand out.
Steel Edging - draw the design you want in the yard. Get a spade and cut around that about 5 or 6 inches deep. This will come with stakes you will want to put the stakes in the edgings slots and over lap it. If you can get easy bend edging and bend it to fit your design. Then place it in the trench you have dug for the liner to go. Cut the edging at the corners. Now take a sledge hammer or big mallet and knock the stakes into the ground, when that is complete now you can fill the edges in with dirt and stomp on it to compact it into the ground. Clean up and now you have a pretty garden.
Concrete Edging - This comes in a few variety of color and styles. Just take a spade and dig around the edge of the garden you have outlined. Take the concrete blocks and stick them into the hole and go all the way around with this.
Wooden Edgings - Now you can buy this already cut and ready to install or you can get a sheet of wood and do it yourself. Dig a hole along the bed you have outlined and stick the stumps in the ground and you may or may not want to pour some concrete in first to keep the wood from going anywhere.
Plastic Edging - This is just the same as the steel edging but a lot cheaper and easier to bend but you install it the same way.
Rock edging - You can both take a spade and cut out the outline of the garden you have outlined and stick big or smaller rocks in the hole but not to deep to cover them up and go all around the garden with them. When you are done you will want the rocks to stick out of the dirt at least 2 inches.
