So it is good to know what different types of flower gardens you could plant before you get started. That and if you just want some rest and relaxation you can go and sit in your garden read a book and enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature. The great thing about flowers is not only do most of them smell really nice and look pretty but they attract different animals and bugs as well. Even though bees can be scary and hurt you, if you do not go bothering them you can watch them go from flower to flower collecting pollen and pollinating other flowers for you. Other interesting things to look at are butterflies and lady bugs. They are more on the friendly side and they may even land on you. There are thousands of different flowers you can choose from to plant. Just remember every flower is different and some can not stand certain climates and conditions. So when you are going to choose the flowers you want for your garden make sure to look up the climates they like to live in and if they will stand the other flowers you may be putting with them. That is another thing some flowers do not grow well with other types and they both may die out. I will put up a few different flowers and how to care for them. This may help you in deciding what you want for your beds.

Flowers for Different Types of Flower Gardens

What kinds of flowers would be good in my flower garden? To make good choices on what flowers to use, you will need to know what kind of flowers are out there, pick the ones you like, and learn how to properly tend to them. Here are a few different flowers that you can use in a garden.

Adenium - Another name for these types of flowers is the desert rose. They row very slowly and will not flower for 4 to 5 years. You will want to soak them for 2 to 4 hrs to get them ready for germination. This is done by wetting 2 paper towels and placing the seeds between them, keeping an eye that they do not dry out. Put the seeds in a pot with cactus mix. You want to then wet the soil and seeds but do so gently so you do not knock the seeds down to far. They need sunlight during the day. They also need to have moist soil to grow.

Carnations - They need full sun light for at least 4 to 5 hrs a day. Carnations like fertilized soil that is well drained. They do not require too much water unless it is very hot. Do not splash them with water; the best way is to lightly spray them down. They do not like mulch. This type of flower needs air circulation all around the stem area. They should be ready in 25 to 30 days after planting them and last up to 2 to 3 weeks.

Freesia - You should soak the seeds in warm water for 1 day before you plant them. You will want to find a place for them that the soil will drain well. Plant them 2 inches deep and 3 inches apart from one another. You will want to water them after you have planted them. They will start to sprout in autumn. When winter comes they will have taller growth to them. And they should be ready to have flowers by spring time.
