Popular 1970's clothing was very interesting. The style in the 70's was bright colors and some very unique patterns. I have seen all kinds of styles coming back into play since most people really seem to like the funny and laid back vibe of the 1970's. I think it is all about how some one feels in what they are wearing. I do not dress to what others say are the current styles. I prefer wear what I think looks nice on me and what I am going to be comfortable in. The 70s were all about peace and love. They wore platform shoes and bell bottom pants along with Tye dye shirts. All of these fashions are now considered popular 1970's vintage clothing. Which you can still see people wearing today.

1970's Woman's Vintage Clothing

Woman's clothing in the 70's was a big change from the decades of past. Before the 70's most women dressed more conservatively. While the 1970's were and are still remembered as the decade of free love and self expression. The women wore a wide style of clothing in the 70's. Anything from mini skirts to maxi dresses, catsuits or trouser suits. There was really no limit to what a women could and would wear.

Popular 1970's Vintage Dress Styles

There were three basic styles for skirts and dresses. They were micro,mini and maxi. The macro skirt was so short that it left little or nothing to the imagination while the mini was not much longer it generally feel a few inches above a woman's thighs. The maxi was floor length and usually very flowing.

Vintage 1970's Clothes Styles

Catsuits which are one piece of fabric that is made into a shirt and pants was widely popular in the 70's. You could find hundreds of girls out at disco's wearing catsuits with all different designs on them. Catsuits were mainly worn by the younger woman while older more sophisticated woman preferred trouser suits.These were very similar to men's suits but often cut to form better to the curves women have.

Bell bottoms and flared pants became largely popular clothing in the 1970's. Bell bottom pants were tight on the hips and thighs than the fabric flared out at the knee. Flared pants are basically the same but the flared fabric is usually closer to the calf and not as prominent.
