What Are The Mother Of The Brides Duties

We all know as mothers how exciting a wedding can be for your daughter actually not only for them but you as well. Seeing your child turn into a young woman and off on her own is a very special time. You must remember it is her time and you have to let her have the spotlight. The best thing to do is be there for her with whatever she may need or want. Well your asking what are the mother of the brides duties in the wedding? Everything she wants you to do. This is a stressful time so anything you can do to lighten the load on her is a great help in itself. Of course you will want to confirm with her before you just go and do anything. She may have wanted to do something on her own and you have done if for her. If this happens she may become mad or upset and that is not what you want so ask before ding things or have her write a list for you of things to be done. Below I have written a list of things that are generally the mother of the brides duties.

Mother Of The Brides Duty List

1. Be there for your daughter at all cost. If she should need to call you just to vent then do it. Keep her positive and support her through all of the wedding planning
2. Be the main contact for others for the wedding such as if someone cannot show up call the mother. If something has come up call the mother. Info on where the wedding will be call the mother and so on. You should be the main connection to the other guests.
3. Go with you little girl and help with picking the dress and accessories.
5. Help the maid of honor with the list of who is coming and who is not.
6. Help the maid of honor get all the invitations sent out and also assist in calling people to see if they will be attending, and who they are bringing
7. Talk to the grooms parents about the cost of things and how the payments will be made on this wedding
8. Make sure you are there and help with bridal shower, reception and of course the bachelorette party
9. Help with setting things up at the ceremony and reception.
10. Help the bridesmaid and best man with seating people in the right places.
11. If anyone should need you to run and get things you should do it.
12. If the bride needs to go places be her taxi for these days.
13. Make sure to dance with the father of the bride or other person there with you. Of course dance with the groom as well. If the bride wants to dance with her mommy then who are you to say no:).
14. During the gathering after the wedding and during the wedding make sure guests are happy and taken care of.
15. Always be there for the bride when she needs a shoulder to cry on or just needs an ear to talk off!
