2. Do not ever just go with the first dress you try on. Look around and see what is out there. You just might find a dress that is really pretty and you love it. Then you buy it and come across another one that you really like now you are stuck and in a tough spot.
3. Price shop. When going out go to a few different stores and compare prices, styles, colors, length and how if fits your body. If you can find that one dress you like and see it at another store for less that is thrifty shopping.
4. You have to know what your body size is.You can pick up almost any dress and say how beautiful it is, but when it comes time to trying on the dress either it does not look good or fit right for you. That is okay because there are so many other dress stores to choose from.
5. Budget. If you have a certain amount you can use on a dress try to find discount store or even a good will and thrift shops. You can even ask the stores if they offer any kind of discounts.
6. Make sure if the wedding will be outside incorporate that in to finding the right dress. For an example if it is going to be a beach wedding in the summer you may want to go with something light in color and not to mention try to find a strapless dress or spaghetti strap dress. You don't want to wear a formal gown to the beach just like you wouldn't wear a laid back gown to a nice church.
7. Look at your body type and then pick a dress. If you are a bigger woman you are not going to want something that is ultra tight that makes everything fall out or if you are very thin you way want to steer clear of anything that is strapless. You can still go with a spaghetti strap dress.
8. Feel the dress and see if it has good quality and durability. You do not want to be out on that dance floor busting a move and instead you bust a seam. That would be very humiliating.
9. Do not get the dress to early. You may fluctuate in weight, find something else you like, or even realize that it does not look as good as you thought it did on you.
