Adults Only Wedding Etiquette

Weddings are a very special day that we all would like to share with our family and friends. It is a day that joins two people and their families together. Sometimes we are either on a tight budget or the place we have picked for the wedding may not be that big so we have to pick and choose who we invite. Now this may stir up some conversation or a bit of jealousy between people. What some people do though is make it an adults wedding. Making it less people to feed and less room taken up. On the other hand some just prefer to have an adults only wedding in general. How do we go about saying that though? We need to have good adults only wedding etiquette. This is the choice of the bride and groom even if we are not happy with the decision it is their special day and we need to respect their decision and be grateful we have been invited at all.

How Do I Word That My Wedding Is Adults Only

Not every one will be very accepting of an adults only wedding. You do have to tell people plain and simple on their invitations. There are going to be individuals that question why can't they bring their kids or why is that family able to or even not attend because they are not allowed to bring their kids, again honesty is the key. If the reason should be that you only want immediate families children tell them that or if there is limited room they should know. What ever the reason for them needs to be told truthfully.

Proper Etiquette For An Adults Only Wedding

1. Address that it is an adults only wedding right on the invitation.
2. Tell them before they receive the invitation that it will be adults only, then on their invitation write out to the and 1 adult guest to attend.
3. Ask others to relay this to other attendees. This way it is well known that you want to have an adults wedding.
4. Place right on the envelope that it no children are to attend please.
5. If you have a wedding website make sure that it is posted right on there as well in a way that every one will know and understand that there are no children to attend this event
6. You can address the wedding invitation to Mr. and Mrs. whom ever or miss so and so and one guest.
7. Call each guest and inform them of the situation, explain the reason why and everything else they may want to know. This way when they do receive their invitation they cannot tell you that they didn't know because you have called them already to keep them aware.

These are some suggestions that you can do for your wedding. One thing to remember is not to back down on your decision. This is your wedding day and no one should do anything against your wishes. If the invitations say specifically no children and you have called them on top of it all if they are going to try and bring children any way then you know that has to be done. I would tell them in a very nice manner you were told that there was to be no children if you can find a sitter then do so if not then I am sorry but you may not attend. There is a reason for your decision and that is that no one should try to swindle you to change your decision at any cost.
