10 Homemade Wedding Favors

Homemade Wedding Favors are a great idea. Why? When you are preparing for your wedding some times people are looking for the easiest and quickest way to get things done. I see too many times people spending so much extra money to go out and get already made wedding favors. I mean yes they are real pretty and it is a quick way to get that out of the way, but I personally like when I see wedding favors done by hand it makes things more unique and will in the end save you so much money.

As I said the only down fall is that cheap homemade wedding favors may just take a little more time to do. But if you have some people that will be attending the wedding come over and help you make them you can make fun out of this even maybe make a game of it. You guys can even add this as an event to your bachelorette or bachelor party. You can go online, to the library, ask others or watch programs on TV to help you through doing them. I am going to post some pictures I have found doing some research and instructions to go along with the images to help you ideas of things you may like to try of get other ideas from them as well.

10 Home Made Wedding Favors
1. This is a champagne glass with candy in it. You can go to your local craft store and buy plastic glasses, a big spool of ribbon any color. Also lace, plastic wrap, or tulle then a big bag of m&ms colored almonds, mints or whatever candies you want. Put the candy in the glass then wrap the cup in what ever you chose and tie it off.

>Making soap as wedding favors.

1. Cut white soap into small squares and put them into a bowl then microwave them
2. Add soap color. Then pour melted soap into the shape try that you want. Let soap cool for 10 to 15 mins. If you need to speed the drying time you can place them into the fridge.
3. Take soap out of the molds and place face down into a bar soap mold.
4. Follow step 1 to melt clear soap, then add fragrance if you want. Pour melted soap into bar soap over the soap shapes you have already made. Then let the soap cool. Then take it out of the mold.
2. Put pictures, videos, music and more on a DVD and give each one to the guests.


3. Chocolate dipped spoons. Get disposable spoons. Melt chocolate. Get milk chocolate, white and dark. Dip the spoon, and then dip it in candy, sprinkles nuts or even spices. Get small plastic type baggies and ribbon to tie it shut. You can even get small tags with bride and grooms name with wedding date and tie it to the spoon.


4. You can get little pouches with a draw string and put flower seeds, candies, fake gems or stones in them. Then either just tie them shut or get ribbon to tie them. Get name cards or tags with wedding date and names on them.


5. You can order candy hearts online for cheap with the names of the bride and groom on them or just plain. Then you can go to the nearest craft store and get paper doilies, and a thing of pearl type ribbon. Also get another thing of regular ribbon or pre made bows and glue. Fold the doilies into a cone shape and glue the end. Cut a small piece of the pearl ribbon to make a handle and glue it on. Then take the ribbon and make little bows or pre made bows and glue one on the front of the cone and add some candies to it.


6. You can go to the dollar store and get small baskets either already with designs or get fabric paint to add a design. You can get the bags of paper Easter grass there as well. Then get small packs of flower seeds. Put the grass in the basket after you have put the design you want on it then stick the seeds in the grass. If you want you can even get some plastic wrap colored or clear or some kind of cheap lace and wrap the basket up in with a small piece of ribbon


7. You can get the small flower pots at the dollar store. Get a box of chocolates they do not have to all be the same. Then either get small clear or translucent bags. Put the chocolates or even colored stones, gems, sand or what ever you want into the little pot. Then put that pot into the bag or wrapping and tie it up with a ribbon. You can even get small tags and writhe something on them and attach that to the ribbon.


8. You can get these small boxes at any dollar or craft store. Fill the boxes with what ever you want. Thinks like flower seeds, candy, pretty stones or just small scroll with the bride and grooms names and wedding date on it. Then get a ribbon and wrap the box in it. If you want get stickers or make small bows to put on the top of them


9. You can get small mason jars and fill them with anything that you want. Candle wax with a wick, sand, candy, jams, honey, tea leafs, potpourri and so on. Then get some ribbon to give it some more color and tie the ribbon around the top of the jar. You can make sticky labels if you have a computer and printer and print what ever you want on them. And stick them on the table for the guests. You can even get tulle or plastic warp and put the jars in them if you want.
