Having a second wedding? Whether your spouse has passed or things just did not work out and your ready to do this all over again. Well since you have been through this one time already you will have some experience in planning a second wedding. Of course you may want to go a whole new route on the second wedding. Whatever your choice is I will help you with ideas for planning a second wedding. You might feel a bit strange doing it all over again. Just for the simple fact you have already done this once before and everyone gave you gifts, attend the wedding and so on. This is your time to shine and if others feel uneasy about it then they do not have to attend. You had it all the first time around, and you are a bit older now so do you really want the whole nine yards again? If your spouse does then by all means do so, but if they feel as though there is no need to make it super fancy and spend an abundant amount of money then just go simple yet elegant. Planning Your Second Wedding

1. If there are children that are involved the very first thing it to talk to them about your plans and ask them for their input.
2. If your ex spouse is still around you may want to inform them of your special day if you have children together. Even if you do not but still remain friends it would be a courteous thing to do just so they know.
3. But of course you have to tell your parents and your spouses parents the great news.
4. NEVER, unless the ring is a family heirloom and even then you may want to put it away wear the same ring from your previous marriage. Do you know how tacky that is? I do not care how much was spent on it that is very tasteless. Now if the previous spouse has passed away again put that other ring in a safe place like a lock box or on a necklace around your neck same as if it is a family heirloom
5. Another very big no-no is to wear the same dress or tuxedo that you wore the first time around.
6. If the wedding is to be casual find a nice pretty but inexpensive dress to wear. Have the guests dress casual as well but a bit dressy
7. If you have children make them a part of the wedding. If they choose to say no then do not be upset. This is their choice and yes it may sting a bit but understand where they are coming from as well.
8. If they choose to be a part of the wedding you may want to light a candle or give them a small gift to join you as a new family.
9. Do not feel like just because you have been married again you have to do things differently. Do it whatever way you and your spouse choose to.
10. Same with your dress even though you were married before you can still wear a white dress again if that is what you choose. This is your day and no one can tell you what to wear and not wear

These are just some of the basics to remember. As for the rest of the wedding this is up to you and your spouse to do. Just because you have been married before does not mean you can not do things the way you guys want to. It is your special day and no one should ever try to sabotage it or tell you that you can not do something. Do what you guys feel is the right thing and run with it.
