Best Jobs for Senior Citizens are the kind that allow people to work with minimum stress, both physical and emotional. Some seniors would be able to do any job, but lets face it as we get older, most of us tend to get a little more frail. So if you are a Senior who can't really work like you used to, and you want to work, then by all means do so, and we are sharing a couple ideas on places you may want to seek employment!

I think for those seniors who are just not ready to retire yet go out and work if that is what they want to do and their health will let them. I do not think there should be specific jobs for seniors and the rest of us. I mean if a senior wants to go out and landscape if they are in good health then why not go and do it right? I believe any job that I can do a senior in good health can do just as good if not maybe even better.

Now if their health is not the greatest or they are limited as to what they can do then maybe something that is not so strenuous and hard to do, maybe some kind of desk job or librarian of sorts. I figure if a senior citizen is willing to go out and work then why not give them a job? If people will not hire a senior that is discrimination towards them because of their age! I will put a list of things that seniors may like to do.

Good Employment Opportunities for Seniors

• Librarians
• Limo drivers or other sorts of drivers
• Taking care of other people who can not do it them selves
• Receptionists
• Retail stores - cashier, hanging clothing or putting items away, cleaning the stores up, door and receipt checker and so on
• Freelance work
• If you already have a job you may just want to stay where you already are working.
• Cleaning businesses. going to hotels, homes or other places and clean, vacuum, dust and so on.
• Casino work

Why should Seniors look for Jobs

It's great for Seniors to work. I know that when I have been between jobs for any stretch of time longer than a week, I get pretty antsy. I think a lot of people are like this too. If you have a job, you want a break. If you have a break, you want a job. So if a senior citizen is retired, they may start to get very antsy, and as people get older their social circles start to dwindle, giving them even less to do. Having a job not only supplements their retirement income, but also provides them with time to be productive, feel good about themselves, and opportunity to socialize (with customers and/or coworkers). I personally want to work until the day I can't work any more!

These are just some ideas that I threw out there for senior jobs. There are so many others that I have not mentioned above but you can look them up online or just go around from store to store asking to fill out applications and see what comes out of that.
