How To Color Your Hair Like A Professional Going to the salon to have your hair colored can cost you a fortune in the end. The salons normally go on how long the hair is, the texture, the damage done to it and so on. And by the time all of that is added in, it can cost you a good deal to have color done. So you want to learn how to color your hair like a professional and cut the cost of having it dyed for you. The one thing to remember though is that some of those over the counter dyes from stores can really damage your hair more then help you out. They do put instructions on the boxes in hopes that you really do read them. So the best bet to do is go to an actual salon and buy the products there so you know exactly what you are getting and they can explain in detail how to use the product you are purchasing. This may be a bit more pricey then the boxed stuff from the store, but still cheaper then having it done in salons.

How Can I Do My Hair Like A Professional

  1. Now remember that there are cases that you have to go have your hair professionally done. If you have really damaged hair already then the best way to go is a salon.
  2. The most important thing you want to know is that if you want to go a lot lighter then your hair is you might not get the results you are seeking. This will require you to bleach your hair first, which is a whole process in itself. My suggestion is only go a shade or two lighter or darker then your natural color if you want to do it on your own.
  3. After you choose the color and get all of the equipment you will need. Then you want to section the hair to four parts. Like the salon you can get big clips to do so with.
  4. The brush and bowl method is much better then the bottle. This is another way to get more professional with it. Using the brush will allow you to do each section evenly and get each piece of hair.
  5. You will want to brush the dye on starting at the front and working the way back to the neck. Do not forget the hair by the face either. The roots should get done first then the ends.
  6. When you have done the entire head make sure each and every piece is done and has a good amount of dye on it. If you miss any there will be blotches in the hair.
  7. After the required time to leave it on is up you must was it out. Do not leave it on longer it will burn the hair and damage it more.
  8. Wash out all dye till the water runs clear. After you are through washing it out then you can shampoo hair. Finally condition it as well leaving the conditioner on for 20 minutes so it can soak into hair and soften it.
  9. I would not blow dry it, the hair has been through enough by the hair dye, so let it air dry and then style.

If you follow these steps you will be able to color your hair like a professional from the comforts of your own home. Not to mention all the money you will end up saving.
