This is an image of a girl in pain because of menstrual cramps That time of month again for you women out there. Cannot stand it because of the pain? I sometimes wish that could stay pregnant forever just so I do not have to go through the pain of menstrual cramps. They are also known as dysmenorrhea. Many women go through cramps, back pain, the feeling of nausea, sweating, dizziness or other side affects during this time.

There are two different kinds of menstrual cramping. There is primary and secondary dysmenorrhea. Primary occurs within the the first few years after you have gotten your period. This is not bad at all. Although there may be cramping and little pain. Now secondary is a lot worse off. This may be th signs of something more serious such as endometriosis, PID which is pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroids or even uterine polyps. Below I am going to give you a list of natural remedies for menstrual cramps that you can try next time you get your cycle and it is driving you insane.

Natural Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Menstrual Cramps

  1. If you can try to exercise everyday to keep your body in shape and fit. This will also let off endorphins which are your bodies natural way to ease pain.
  2. Hot water bottle, heating blanket, hot rag or anything else you can use as a hot compress and place it on the abdomen area where it is hurting the most.
  3. Drink plenty of water. If you dehydrated this will cause the cramps to be more painful.
  4. If you can try to have an orgasm. With all the muscle movement going on this will cause the blood and other fluids to leave the body and put you in less pain.
  5. Yoga helps because of all the stretching.
  6. Taking the right vitamins and minerals along with nutrients will help with the pain.
  7. Do not drink or eat caffeine while on your menstrual cycle. The oils that are in caffeine can upset the intestines which then will upset the rest of that area.
  8. Eating bananas will help with cramping. The fibers and potein in a bananas some how react with the cramps and help ease them if not takes them away.
  9. I personally place a pillow on my abdomen and curl up with my knees to my chest and rock back and forth i have noticed it does not take them fully away but it will make them less painful and bearable.
  10. A nice hot relaxing bubble bath with lavender oil will calm them down and you as well.

I really hope that some of these techniques will help you out with your painful day or days. Some of these actually work for me, if not then just keep experimenting or go to your physician you may be experiencing something more sever then just the monthly cramps and discomfort.
