Makeup Tips For Cancer PatientsHave you got cancer and think whats the point in wearing makeup anymore, I just do not care anymore. Well stop thinking that way, just because you have cancer does not mean that you cannot still wear makeup and look your all time best. Hair or no hair, wrinkles or not, blemishes or whatever you may have because of your unfortunate illness, do not let this put a damper on the fact that you are still a beautiful young woman or even older woman. We all still like to look great from time to time and wear makeup. Well this article hopefully may change your mind about throwing it all away and just letting that gorgeous face of yours go.

Makeup may also brighten your spirits up, just that little bit you may need. Every girl that does wear makeup will say they feel naked without it or at least most of them do. Even if you are not use to wearing makeup go and give it a try. What have you got to lose doing so? If you are down and out about what the cancer has done to your appearance then experiment a little with some makeup. I am not saying come out looking like a clown or someone who has just stepped from the 1980s. Try some neutral colors and boosting tones to give you that not so drawn out and tired look you may be wanting to get rid of. Be you and go all the way make you look like you again. Below I will put up a list makeup tips for cancer patients that will help you look and feel fabulous all day long.

Apply Natural Looking Makeup For Cancer Patients

  1. You may have some dry or dull looking and feeling skin from all those harsh treatments. The first thing you want to do is find a good moisturizer for your face so the makeup will not damage the skin any further. Keeping it smooth and soft.
  2. Next you want to find a liquid foundation or base coat that will match up as best as you can get to your actual skin tone. There is not a need to cake it on the face making it feel like a heavy mask or like you have to scrape it off when you are done. All you have to do is get a makeup sponge, soft cloth or even your fingers and work in in to the skin. Going to the neck if you wish to cover up all the way to that point.
  3. You can now find a powder that is the same color as well. This is to reinforce the base coat to stay on with no problems. Take your compact and swipe the sponge that comes with it lightly across the powder and pat on the face. Then work it into the skin lightly so there are no patchy spots or thicker points. Make sure that the face is evenly covered.
  4. If you want to spice up the cheek area you can get some blush. Cream blushes tend to be better for skin that has that dull or dry look to it. I would suggest using a peach or medium pink color, this will not bring out the redness you may have to the skin. It also gives the pale skin a bit of a pop so it looks more alive. You do not want to put on a dark color. The cheeks do not need that . This will only make you look as though you have put your makeup on in the dark. You can apply this to the apple of the cheek, doing so in a circle motion. Then of course you want to blend it in a bit try not to leave clumps or real dark areas. You want to have it look as natural as you can. Here is something to think about, if you are on a budget or do not have any blush on hand you can use a bit of either lipstick, gloss or eyeshadow if they are light colors that match with the skin tone.
  5. Now we all know some of the side effects from treatment of cancer is hair loss. This means even eyebrows and lashes too. But do not let that get you down. This is why we are doing our makeup so you can give the illusion to others that you do have the eyebrows and lashes, no one will know the difference. So you do not have lashes you can either go and get some falsies that look natural and stick them on or you can just use eyeliner to make this illusion as well. Take the pencil and if you get a white pencil and apply it to the inner rims of the lower eyelash line, this will open the eyes and give them a very bright look.
  6. If you choose to do false eye lashes there is a lot to choose from. If you are looking or that natural look they do have either full sets that you just peel off the applicator, place glue on them and stick them to the lowest line of the top lid, or they have individual lashes that you can place on to determine how full or thin you would like to have them. There are all kinds of designer lashes you can go with as well if you are looking to spice it up.
  7. Now for your eyebrows find a color that is as close to a natural looking brow as possible. You should draw on the brow bone in fast strokes so it gives that hair like appearance. All you have to do is go with the line of the natural brow placement. If you are going for a little more wild look then feel free to do as you wish with the brows. Have fun with them. You can make it look as though you have a mad scowl, polka dots going across them, some kind of neat design, making it look as though you have tattoos on them and so much more.
  8. If you want to do the lips as well you may find that out lining the lips first may make them pop out a bit more, plus it will prevent the lipstick from bleeding. I would go with colors that warm the skin, such as medium pinks and light browns. You can always blot it if you think it may be to bright or to much.

I hope that these tips I share with you will help you with your application of make up and have you back on your toes looking as gorgeous and radiant as ever! No one should ever have to go through the struggle of cancer, and I do give my best wishes to you. Stay strong and just keep going.
