How To Properly Apply Eyeliner

Applying different makeups can be a little tricky depending on what you are going to be putting on. There are things that you have to look at before you just go and stick what ever on your face. You have to look at things like your skin tone, the shape of the face, shape of the eyes, structure of the face and so on. Below I will tell you how to properly apply eyeliner.

Steps For Applying Eyeliner Properly

Applying pencil liner

• The first thing you want to do is wash your face real good of dirt, oils and other things that may obstruct the makeup.
• Also you might want to take off rings and other jewelery so it does not get in the way when you are putting your eyeliner on.
• You will definitely want good lighting so you can see what you are doing.
• First you will want to put on any other eye makeup you are planning to wear such as eyeshadow and mascara.
• Choose the color that you think will best suit your eyes. If you have eyes that are hazel you want to go with a dark gray, charcoal or even a silver depending how light or dark your eyes are that day. People with hazel eyes their color changes. This will make your eyes more open. So after you find out what color your eyes are you can find out what shades go well with the color and shape.
• If you have almond shape eyes you can really go with any way putting eye liner on. Like outline just the bottom lid or outline top and bottom lids or you can even just outline half of both top and bottom.
• If you eyes are more of an Asian look then to bring the eyes out you can take the pencil and on the top lid draw a line starting in the middle of the lid and go outwards. Then fill in th entire bottom lid.
• If you have small eyes you can go from the inner part of the bottom lid with white or even a light blue. If you add white around the eye it makes them look larger.
• If your eyes are round only outline 2/3rds of the top lid and same with the bottom. Then make them join at the outer part of the eye. If you can try to make the lines at the end a bit thicker and curl up at the end. Giving your eye a slight point at the end.
• If you have eyes that are close set then You just want to out line the upper and lower outer corners of the eye with a bit of a thicker line.
• If you have wide set eyes use a darker line on the inner corner and then go lighter outwards towards the end it is faded to almost invisible to the outer corner.

Liquid liner

For applying liquid you can only apply this to the top lid of the eye. You can go under the eye lashes on the bottom. Never place it directly on to the line on the bottom lid. This will burn and make your eyes tear up real bad. If you want to use liquid for the top or under the bottom lashes you can follow the steps as I have written them above, according to the space of the eye and the look that you are going for.
