How To Apply Makeup For The First Time

There are a few things you will want to know if this is the first time you are applying makeup. It is meant to enhance your natural beauty. It is not meant for you to look like a complete clown or a goof ball. You just want to brighten up your face a bit more. Below is a list of things to remember if you are applying make up for the first time.

1. If you are going to use a foundation or cover up make sure the color you get blends in with your natural color. you do not want to get concealer that is to light or dark and look like you have a mask on. If it is liquid only use a few drops on the face then blend it in all over. if it is powder then use a small amount on the pad and blend it in the skin.
2. If you are applying eyeliner you can just either lower the bottom eye lid and lightly go over it with the pencil or you can apply a small line across the top of the lid. Make sure it is not a bright and fluorescent color. Stick with neutral black, brown, grays or something very light. Just trace over the top and or bottom lids.
3. If you are using a mascara again do not use something that is like a blue they look silly on people. Try black or even gray. Take the mascara brush and place it right at the root of the eye and pull up lightly so you do not get clumping or an excessive amount on your lashes. This will make them look fake and tacky
4. Eyeshadow are difficult because I tend to go all out on mine and choose crazy and wild colors but if you are not use to applying make up would stick with neutral colors like light pink, light browns, light purples and maybe even a light beige color. Go to the center of the eye and come out to the end and do that again till the top of the lid has a very light coat of color. After that then take your finger or a brush and go over it again to get rid of loose powder or color that may be sitting on the eye.
5. Blush is not something a lot of people use anymore, but if you want to experiment get a neutral pink or brown and go from the cheek bone down. Then take your fingers or a brush and rub it in so it is not real dark or looking cakey.
6. Lipsticks and gloss. Not very many people use lipstick anymore they use gloss, because it has that wet look and does not come out looking like a clown just kissed you. If you are going to try lipstick then go with light pinks, browns and any other color that is light and kind of neutral.

If you can look at the back of each makeup you want to buy and make sure it is not animal tested and if you can get all natural makeups. They do not use animal parts in them such as whale blubber. Also make sure when you are purchasing your makeup it fits your skin tone. You do not want something that you can not even see, but you also do not want something that every one thinks you have painted on you with paint and a brush either.Remember to have fun applying make for the first time. This is the best time to experiment and find out exactly what looks best on you.
