Cancer is a huge affliction to humanity. This is why Cancer charities are so many. Almost every person has either been a victim of cancer themselves, or has a friend or family member that has been a victim of cancer. This is a cancer charity organizations are a cause that almost every person can have a personal connection to, because of this fact.

There are so many cancer charities available for support that they have actually segmented, meaning that different cancer charities support different aspects of cancer. For example, Livestrong is a cancer charity that supports cancer survivors. Thon is a charity that supports kids with Cancer. There are charities that support Cancer research, and there are charities that support families of victims of Cancer.

Donating to Cancer Charities

When interested in donating to a cancer charity, it is good to be aware of what aspect of cancer they are responsible for supporting. Some (as implied above) focus on breast cancer, some focus on cancer survivors, some focus on cancer prevention, and some focus on the cure for cancer. Additionally, some cancer charities are more effective than others. Some are reported to raise funds and only be able to use 3 percent of their funds to actually support charity!
